Just a gentle reminder — in order to operate legally, you’ll need a CTO (Deputy Ministry of Tourism) license. If you already have one, then there’s absolutely nothing to worry about

If not, please don’t stress! I’ve attached the regulations to help you understand the process of getting licensed — it’s easier than you might think!

You need a PDF copy of

  • Title Deeds
  • Building Permit or Town Planning Permit
  • Identity card, or passport, or recent certificate of incorporation οf legal person, according to who is declared as operator (proprietor or beneficial user) of the establishment
  • Stamped Power of attorney – if you are applying on behalf of an owner
  • Electricity bill no older than 6 months

Once your application is approved, you need to pay 222 euros (for 3 years) and then they will email you your certificate which you can display inside the property. Please note that your license number needs to be on all your adverts.

Hope this helps! I’m here if you have any questions.
